Renowned business leaders and philanthropists Marcella Kanfer Rolnick and Joseph Kanfer will be the keynote speakers at the Women’s Endowment Fund’s “For Women, Forever” dinner March 28.
The daughter-father pair, both top executives at GOJO Industries and leaders of Lippman Kanfer Family Foundation, will speak to more than 300 community members at the dinner about engaging the next generation of philanthropists.
“For Women, Forever” celebrates women as philanthropists and benefits the Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation. The event takes place March 28 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn and will feature a reception at 6 p.m., with dinner and a program at 6:45.

The Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation was established in 1993 as a permanent endowment committed to encouraging the advancement of Summit County women and girls. To date, the fund has awarded nearly $450,000 in grants to improve the quality of life of women and girls. Celebrating 56 years of building community philanthropy, Akron Community Foundation embraces and enhances the work of charitable people who make a permanent commitment to the good of the community. In 1955, a $1 million bequest from the estate of Edwin Shaw established the community foundation.
